February 2019 Update

TEN Sunday is coming!  On Sunday, February 10, TEN will be the focus and emphasis of the three morning services.   Davies Kalange will be introduced and interviewed by Pastor Todd on stage, the new TEN website will be rolled out to the congregation, and Davies and I will be manning a table in the lobby between services.  This will be an exciting morning.

Briefly, here’s where we are in the three components of TEN:

We have received completed Crossroads applications from Modeline Ana (whose nickname is Lina) of Haiti (Heartline Ministries) and Gabriel Arconja Correia, from Brazil (Athletes in Action), and recently had Facetime conferences with both students and their sponsors.  We also recently received initial correspondence and applications from two potential students from Uganda, through Partners International. Be praying for God’s leading as we work with these potential Fall 2019 students.

We are continuing to fine tune our 2019 strategy, plan and leadership for church planting.

Note that we will be using the word “Invest” rather than “Give” to describe this TEN Ministry component going forward.

We will be reviewing the TEN Vision and opportunities to give on TEN Sunday.  Giving to support TEN objectives of paying off our building debt in ten years, educating students, and planting churches will all be over and above giving for Crossroads’ general budget.  We will hear more about this on February 10, but a huge focus of 2019 will be encouraging participation of every individual who worships at Crossroads.

As we continue to share, reaching our TEN objectives will depend on two things- first and most importantly, God’s plan and provision; and second, the stewardship and generosity of God’s people.

Please join me in praying for God’s leading in the hearts of individuals and families in 2019.

Thanks and blessings,

Kim Miles | Ten Ministry Director
