March 2019 Update

What an exciting day we shared on Sunday, February 10, as we focused on the TEN vision as a church family! Wasn’t it great to hear how God brought Davies Kalange, our first TEN student, to TMU (The Master’s University) and to hear his story?

As Pastor Todd mentioned, we are presently working with two student candidates for the Fall of 2019—Modeline Ana (Lina) from Haiti and Gabriel Arcanja from Brazil. Both are excellent candidates, and both have formally entered the TMU application process.

Lina is in the process of acquiring her passport, which is a prerequisite in Haiti to register for the TOEFL (Test of English Fluency) exam, for which TMU has a required minimum passing score. Gabriel is scheduled to take the TOEFL exam on March 30 and will be receiving his Brazilian high school equivalency certification in May/June. Be praying for both of these young people as they strive to meet the rigorous TMU entrance requirements and gain formal acceptance to the university.

In addition to praying for Lina and Gabriel, how can you be praying for TEN?

Pray for God to send just the right man to Crossroads to be our GO pastor and lead all our outreach efforts, including missions and the TEN Ministry.

Pray that God will move in the hearts of all who call Crossroads their church home to participate in the financial support of TEN. As Pastor Todd explained, we don’t have a specific giving target for TEN in 2019, just a request to prayerfully consider participating by giving at least $5/week above and beyond normal giving.

Reaching our TEN objectives for Educating Orphans, Planting Churches, and Investing in Debt Paydown will depend on two things: first and most importantly, God’s plan and provision, and second, the stewardship and generosity of God’s people.

Thanks again for partnering with TEN!

God bless you,

Kim Miles | Elder and TEN Director
