May 2019 Update

I appreciate so much your commitment to support and pray for TEN as we partner together.

Our efforts to find our next Master’s University student for Fall 2019 continue. In addition to Modeline Anna (Lina) from Haiti and Gabriel Arcanja from Brazil, we now have a third applicant, Obwoya Douglas Solomon (Douglas) from Uganda, who came to us through an organization called Partners International.

Davies Kalange is nearing the end of a very successful freshman year at TMU and will be flying home to Zambia on May 13. We are deeply grateful to John and Janice Skikas, and to Rob and Celeste Kerchner, who have faithfully loved and supported Davies as host parents this past year.

On April 28, we met with several families who were interested in considering the possibility of volunteering to serve as a student host family for the 2019-2020 term. We have one family committed to serve and need three more—two for each of our TMU students. This is a fantastic ministry, so if you’re looking for a way to plug into TEN and think serving as a host family might be of interest, please let me know!

We continue to pray for God to send us the man who will serve as our GO Pastor and oversee TEN, including church planting, and our other mission and outreach efforts.

How can you be praying specifically for TEN?

  • Pray for God’s leading as we evaluate and consider student applicants for this fall and as they work through the TMU application process.

  • Pray for Davies as he returns home to Zambia for summer vacation and looks ahead to beginning his sophomore year at TMU.

  • Pray for our GO Pastor search.

  • Pray for our efforts to find three additional student host families for this fall.

  • Pray that God will move in the hearts and minds of all our Crossroads family to participate in the financial support of TEN.

Thanks again for partnering with us!

Blessings,
Kim Miles | Elder and TEN Director
