September 2019 Update
I trust that this summer has been a good one for you and your family.
Our new KNOW Pastor, Bret Martin, started on campus here at Crossroads a couple of weeks ago, and we are so thankful for him, as well as excited to work with him! Pastor Bret has oversight of TEN as a key responsibility and will have a strong focus on our church-planting ministry. Please be praying for him as he continues to get his new Crossroads feet underneath him and leads several critical areas of ministry, including TEN.
Davies Kalange arrived safely in Los Angeles on August 29 after traveling from Lusaka, Zambia, and started classes on September 3. Be sure to welcome him back when you see him at church.
Lina, our student candidate from Haiti, recently obtained her passport and has registered to take the TOEFL (Test of English Fluency) on September 21. If she is successful in achieving the required score, she will take the steps necessary to apply for a student visa in hopes of potentially attending TMU in the spring. I shared in church a few weeks ago about Aschalew Demis, a student candidate from Ethiopia, who surfaced in mid-August. He was unsuccessful in two separate interviews at the US Embassy the week of August 19 while seeking a student visa. We are still working with Aschalew and his sponsor towards another application in the coming weeks, where we hope to strengthen his supporting documentation. We trust the Lord’s plans and timing for Lina and Aschalew.
How can you be praying?
• Continue to pray for Pastor Bret as he casts vision and leads the KNOW ministry and TEN.
• Pray for the Lord’s leading for Lina and Aschalew as they continue to work towards hopefully becoming students at TMU.
• Pray that we will see continued and increasing financial support for TEN.
God bless you,
Kim Miles | Elder and TEN Director
